Testing and Inspection of Construction Materials

1. Testing of Construction Materials
Testing of pressure weld, welding joints and steel materials Tension tests, bending tests, dimensional tests, macro and micro tests
Testing of cement milk, mortar and concrete Compression tests, bending tests, tension tests, static elasticity coefficient tests
Testing of aggregates Alkali-silica reaction tests (chemical method, mortar-bar method, rapid method), sieve, mass per unit volume, wear, soft stone volume, friable particles (washing), clay lumps, material that floats in a specific gravity of 1.95, stability, organic impurities, particle shape determination ratio, salt content
Testing of water used for mixing Volume of suspended material, volume of soluble residue from evaporation, volume of chloride ions, differences in cement hardening time, compression strength ratio of mortar
Testing of soil properties Soil particle density test, soil-water ratio test, corrected CBR test, design CBR test, soil pH test, and other JIS tests
2. Surveys to Diagnose Earthquake Resistance of Concrete Structures
Concrete core testing Compression tests, bending tests, static elasticity coefficient tests, carbonation tests, extrapolated composition tests, salt content tests, residual expansion tests, alkali-silicon reaction tests
On-site surveys Surveys of bar arrangement using RC radar, rebound (Schmidt) hammer test of extrapolated concrete hardness, ground penetrating radar surveys of cavities under road surfaces, fracture depth measurement using ultrasound propagation rate test devices
