CB Certification
JQA, as a National Certification Body (NCB) under the IECEE-CB scheme, issues CB certificates. JQA-issued CB certificates are utilized in acquiring certification in many countries. By attaching this certificate they can shorten the time and reduce the expenses involved in acquiring certification.
Safety Testing for Certification in Other Countries
- Opportunities for Business in World Markets
With development of the global economy, business opportunities in world markets have expanded.
The export of electrical products, however, requires that those products be certified for safety under the certification systems of the importing countries.JQA has established a global network with major organizations in North America, Europe and Asia, and will test electric products under standards of such countries as well as provide application services to their certifying organizations on behalf of manufacturers. JQA test results can be used to acquire certification by organizations in other countries.

Electromagnetic environment testing |
JQA performs standards-based tests of electrical and electronic products to determine the strength of their electromagnetic emissions (electromagnetic interference) as well as to determine whether they malfunction when exposed to such emissions (resistance to interference), and issues reports on the results.
- Overview of Electromagnetic Environment Testing
1 Measurement of Radio Interference from Information Processing Devices, Receivers, Etc.JQA will perform measurements according to various different national standards and regulations, and issue reports of test results.
2 Immunity Testing
JQA will perform evaluation tests of electronic equipment for resistance to radio interference according to IEC, EN, CISPR, and other such standards, and issue reports of test results.
3 Power Source Harmonics and Flicker Testing
JQA will measure flicker and harmonics transmitted from the power lines of electronic and electrical equipment according to national guidelines and EN and IEC standards.
4 Witness Testing for Countermeasure Purposes
JQA will conduct witness testing with the customer for the purpose of formulating measures to suppress interference.
Overview of Electromagnetic Environment Testing in Japan
This introduces testing performed according to the technical standards of the Electric Appliance and Material Safety Law and the S-JQA Mark certification system, certification under the JQA electromagnetic environment system, evaluation testing of radio wave reflection chambers and shielded rooms, EMC testing of electrical medical devices, electromagnetic environment surveys of offices, and so on.

Overview of Electromagnetic Environment Testing for Other Countries
This introduces testing and on-site measurement (on-site testing) according to EMC directives, EMC testing of information processing devices for Taiwan, EMI testing according to Bureau Veritas certification procedures, telephone terminal testing according to United States FCC standards and Canadian IC standards, application agent services, and other such activities.
JQA-EMC Certification
- Certification According to the JQA Electromagnetic Environment Certification System (JQA EMC Mark)
The growing use of portable telephones, computers and other such electronic and electrical equipment and radio communications equipment has resulted in increased interference between such devices, jamming of other equipment, malfunctions, cross talk and so on. JQA serves as a neutral, impartial third-party organization that tests the electromagnetic compatibility of electrical products (EMI, EMS standards) and certifies that products are both protected from the interference environment and do not pollute the environment with unwanted electromagnetic emissions.
Testing of Bluetooth, Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), Etc.
- Overview of Bluetooth Activities

JQA performs testing based on the protocols and profiles required for Bluetooth logo certification.
- Overview of Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Measurement for Radio Communications Equipment to be Used in the United States
JQA has begun SAR measurement in the 900-MHz, 1.9-GHz, and 2.45-GHz bands for radio communications equipment (portable telephones, etc.) to be used in the United States.Combining SAR measurement service with the testing service of radio communications equipment JQA has currently conducted, JQA provides a total evaluation of radio communications equipment.
In acquiring certification, the time from testing to certification can also be significantly shortened by using JQA as an agent for applications through Telecommunication Certification Bodies (TCB)
[Time from Application to Acquisition of Certification]
Direct application to the FCC... 2 months to certification
TCB agent application... 10 days or less
