Introduction CMJ Registration This is a system for registration of components and materials used in electric appliances and materials that are subject to the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law. Under this system, third-party organizations test samples of such products for conformity with standards established in the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law, and evaluate quality control systems in plants where such products are manufactured. Those components and materials are then registered with the system. CMJ stands for "Certification Management Council for Electrical & Electronic Components & Materials of Japan" which is operated under guidance by this council. JQA conducts registration of components and materials according to this system as follows: ·Testing of insulated wire for use in equipment (F Mark and K Mark) ·Testing of cathode ray tubes (CRT) ·Ball pressure testing of thermoplastics ·Combustion testing of synthetic resins (horizontal and vertical) By utilizing CMJ-registered components and materials, manufacturers of electric appliances can streamline their work to confirm that their products conform to the technical standards of the Electric Appliance and Material Safety Law. |
