CMJ Registration is a scheme for prior assessment and registration of components and materials to facilitate efficient and economical certification of electrical products pursuant to the technical requirements of the DENAN Law. CMJ Registration is administered by the Certification Management Council for Electrical and Electronic Components and Materials of Japan. JQA and Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET) participate as certification bodies.

CMJ Registration and DENAN Law Technical Requirements
CMJ-registered products can be used as "objectively verified items" for the technical requirements of the DENAN Law.
As stated in, "Interpretation of the Ministerial Ordinance Specifying Technical Standards for Electrical Appliances and Materials"
(The following excerpt is an example from Appendix 8 of the above Interpretation)
"...synthetic resins for enclosures which have had horizontal burning objectively verified using the specified test methods shall be recognized as conforming to technical requirements."
