Applying for Type Certification

When applying for PSE Certification (Conformity Assessment) of Specified Electrical Products, please fill in the required items on the application form and submit it together with the required materials and test samples listed below. See the JQA Application Guide for detailed instructions.

• Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law Application Form
• Type Classification Table
• Inspection Equipment List
• Outline of Construction, Materials, and Performance
• Manufacturing Factory List
• List of Critical Components
• Copy of Statement of Conformity Assessment issued by JQA (if you have one)
• Circuit Diagram(s)
• Label Information
• User Manual
• Power of Attorney (if applying through a third-party)
• Samples:
  • 1 sample unit with repair parts

    * If 2 sample units can be provided, testing lead time can be reduced.

PSE Compliance Testing

Applying for PSE Compliance Testing

When applying for compliance testing to PSE technical requirements (Confirmation of Technical Requirements) for the purpose of fulfilling the obligation to maintain and keep test records, please fill in the required items on the application form and submit it together with the required materials and test samples listed below.

Note: Separate conformity assessment testing is required for PSE Certification (PSE Law, Article 9).
